Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all vehicle repair, refinishing and bodywork services provided by SGM RacePaint Ltd.
1. Service Scope
All vehicle repairs are carried out based on visual inspection and information provided by the customer or insurer.
Estimates are based on visible damage only. Additional work may be required once repairs have commenced.
2. Hidden & Additional Damage
Structural damage, corrosion, previous repairs, filler work, or mechanical issues may not be visible until the repair process has begun.
We reserve the right to revise pricing where additional damage is discovered. No further work will proceed without customer approval.
3. Paint & Colour Matching
While every effort is made to achieve an accurate colour match using professional paint systems and blending techniques, exact colour replication cannot be guaranteed due to:
- Manufacturer paint variations
- Vehicle age and sun fade
- Previous repairs
- Panel orientation differences
Blending into adjacent panels may be required to achieve a consistent finish.
4. Rust & Corrosion
Rust repairs are carried out to a professional standard; however, corrosion is a progressive process and long-term recurrence cannot be guaranteed unless full panel replacement is undertaken.
5. Insurance Work
Where repairs are carried out through an insurance claim, work is completed in accordance with the approved repair estimate.
Any additional work outside insurer approval must be authorised separately by the vehicle owner.
6. Pricing & Payment
- All prices are subject to inspection.
- A deposit may be required prior to commencing work.
- Full payment is due upon completion before vehicle release unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Storage & Collection
Vehicles must be collected within 48 hours of notification of completion unless prior arrangements are made.
We reserve the right to charge reasonable storage fees for uncollected vehicles.
8. Liability
SGM RacePaint Ltd shall not be held liable for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Mechanical or electrical faults unrelated to body repair
- Failure of previous repairs
- Deterioration due to underlying corrosion
Final responsibility for vehicle roadworthiness remains with the vehicle owner.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
